Communication with Care (PL Staff & Stage 6)
The Communication with Care workshop helps participants develop the core skills needed to build meaningful connections, expanding their ability to identify, listen to, and support someone they are concerned about or who may be in crisis. Our facilitators work interactively to provide a safe environment for the participants to discuss and understand the triggers, signs, symptoms, and more common barriers that friends, family members, or colleagues may be facing during a mental health crisis across a wide spectrum of problems in life. Participants learn how to connect, communicate, and approach people confidently to ask tricky and often deeper questions, building trust in their own ability to provide help. Each participant gets to take home a useful 20 page workbook for the course.
